Trojan Glory - Level 4+
Trojan Glory - Level 4+
Trojan Glory was commissioned by The Troy HS Concert Band, Troy, PA. It is a level 4 + piece that is free composed developing three melodies. It begins with a stately 4/4 Trojan Fanfare introduction, moving into asymmetric and mixed “eight” meters. The first melody, the “Trojan Theme” is very stately, then followed by a lilting mixed asymmetric fragments of the school’s Alma Mater, which utilizes the melody of Harvard’s Alma Mater (also best known as “Believe Me If All Those Endearing Young Charms” ). As the motives mix, conflict ensues. The “Trojan” Theme prevails and the piece moves through the conflict and resolves in a dance like celebration which ends with a mixed meter version of the introductory opening fanfare.
This piece is not for sale at this time. It will be available in the Spring of 2021 after Troy HS has premiered the work. As of now, if you add the work to your cart to “purchase” you will only receive an MP3 recording of the work.
When the work is available, It will be sold with the “Worksheet” Rehearsal helps many of my other works include as part of the purchase price.
