On August 2nd at 8 PM, the Music Educators' Wind Band directed by Bill Tiberio will be performing my work "Fractals" in the Kodak Theater at Eastman School of Music. I am so honored and humbled to have this amazing group of musicians perform this piece. Thank you Bill for your support of my work! If you are interested in hearing the concert but cannot attend, Bill has indicated it will be live streamed.
Brian S. Story
Music Educator, Composer, Conductor
Brian has been a marching band and concert band arranger/composer with Belwin Publications (Alfred Music) since 1993 under the pen name of Brian Scott. Brian has choral compositions published by Colla Voce under the name Brian Story. He has been commissioned to write original concert band works, custom marching band arrangements, choral works, and solo compositions.
Brian’s forty years as a music educator give him great insight into the requirements for quality compositions that are playable and successful at each level. Every work comes with rehearsal and teaching aids. Band works come with recordings and rehearsal work scores that contain all of the challenging sections of the piece written for every instrument, including appropriate material for percussionists. In rehearsal, the entire band can work on those sections together. Choral works include recordings of the entire piece, as well as of each individual voice parts. The goals are simple, to help educators and conductors have more efficient rehearsals and highly successful performances.
Each purchaser will receive a “hard copy” site license giving them and their organization permission to create copies of the music for their specific use. The site license should satisfy any festival’s or evaluation performance requirements for using copied music.
